It was the fifth year of being a mistress to James when his dream girl returned to the country. I was mercilessly dumped by him, in order to clear the relationship. To make matters worse, I became terminally ill and was dying. I squinted James, the man whom I had loved for my entire life, light Valentine’s Day candles, embrace his dream girl into his arms, kiss and cuddle her fondly through the long night together.

Only I knew that his occasional glance at me was always calm and indifferent.

And, he must not have known—I was going to die.

Amelia Summers is a hardworking and independent woman in her late twenties. She works as a graphic designer and lives a contented life with her close-knit group of friends. Amelia has always been focused on her career and hasn’t given much thought to romance. However, everything changes when she receives a mysterious wedding invitation in the mail.

Confused and intrigued, Amelia attends the wedding ceremony only to discover that she is the bride! The groom, none other than James Evans, a billionaire playboy and CEO of a successful tech company. Shocked and unsure of how she ended up in this situation, Amelia confronts James, demanding an explanation.

James, equally bewildered by the situation, reveals that the wedding was orchestrated by his manipulative grandmother, who is determined to see him settled down. Faced with their mutual predicament, Amelia and James decide to enter into a mutually beneficial arrangement – a fake marriage. They agree to pretend to be married for a few months, fulfilling James’s grandmother’s wishes, and then quietly separate.

As Amelia and James navigate their new roles as a married couple, they begin to learn more about each other. Amelia discovers that beneath James’s cold and aloof exterior lies a caring and vulnerable man, burdened by his family’s expectations. James, on the other hand, admires Amelia’s determination and spirit, as well as her ability to challenge him in unexpected ways.

As the days turn into weeks and the weeks into months, Amelia and James’s relationship evolves. They find themselves growing closer, forging a genuine connection that goes beyond their initial agreement. Pa**ion ignites between them, and they can no longer deny the deepening feelings they have for one another.

However, their blissful arrangement is threatened when Amelia’s ex-boyfriend, Daniel, resurfaces, wanting to rekindle their relationship. Amelia is torn between her history with Daniel and the love she has discovered with James. In the midst of this emotional turmoil, Amelia realizes that she must confront her own fears and make a choice that could change her life forever.

As the story reaches its climax, Amelia decides to follow her heart and confesses her love to James. Overwhelmed with emotion, James reciprocates, and they decide to make their marriage real. They face the challenges together, confronting James’s family and their own insecurities, all the while building a future filled with love and happiness.

  7. MadtheReader says:

Chapter 957: “Alice didn’t want to see” ??? Discussing Amelia. I thought I’d gone down the rabbit hole from “The Billionaire Alpha’s Contract Lover by Caesar Erickson” being this story but adding werewolves, to find the original rendition of this, but here we are – proving yet again that this, “I Got Married Without You by Wrenley” is another plagiarized copy. If the author is going to steal someone’s work and just scratch off the serial numbers by changing the names and places.. they need to do a better job! I get that this is stolen from the app KISS, but just wanted to warn readers just finding this: still has issues of continuity! I thought it was just problems from copying it from the app.

My suspicion is the original of this all was written in another language because pronouns are often wrong and that’s a common issue with translators online. Off to again try to find the original of this story. If you know – please fill me in!
